Hello, and welcome to my humble abode. Let me tell you a little about myself. You would think that being raised in a foster home with two very achieved artists in their field that I would be inspired, and I was; but alas I had no gifting in the field of an artist or a knifemaker. You see my foster parents are Betty Beach and Jim Crowell of Mountain View. Jim is a world famous knifemaker and Betty is a very talented artist. It wasn't until I saw the movie Braveheart that I found my gifting; CHAINMAILLE! I looked up chainmaille on a web search and found a new use for chainmaille - jewelry. I started making chainmaille jewelry out of stainless steel because of its inexpensiveness. I got better at putting the rings together and I then bought silver rings and titanium rings. I got better at closing those rings and ordered some wire from my supplier of the rings in Canada. My husband bought a specialized mill to help me cut my rings and now I use exclusive saw cut rings. I do a variety of styles of chainmaille from the basic four-in-one European weave ( the weave they use in most movies) to the very intricate weave Byzantine. I am very passionate when it comes to chainmaille and am willing to tell anyone who will listen about my craft.
