Jim Tindall

TindalSquare

The beauty of the Ozarks around Mountain View is an inspiration to me and the subject matter for many of my paintings. My career in the arts began as art director with the city of North Little Rock, AR. I served ten years developing the arts throughout the city. During that period of time I co-founded the Arkansas League Of Artists, The Burns Parks Arts and Crafts Fair which attracted some 300 artists and craftsman and 50,000 plus visitors during it’s heyday.

I have just recently retired from a non-profit mental health provider as a Expressive Art Specialist using the visual arts to provide therapeutic benefits for adults with severe and persistent mental illness.  I served 15 years in that position.  Each spring more than 100 of my students exhibited their art at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion with over 600 patrons in attendance.

I am comfortable painting in most mediums, but prefer acrylics. I also enjoying sketching caricatures and drawn thousands over the years. I’m still doing caricature bookings for corporate picnics, conventions and private parties.  I am available for caricature bookings for company picnics, conventions, and private parties (see my web page for more information:  jimtindall.com). I have won many awards and honors during my 50 plus years of painting. My art hangs in both public and private collections throughout the world.

  1. My brother, his wife and I visited you late last Saturday for the Mtn. View Off the Beaten Path Tour. We enjoyed the visit tremendously. I especially enjoyed seeing your art displayed. The picture of the older black Louisiana gentleman was quite striking. I will enjoy the painting I purchased for many years to come. It is so relaxing to see and the colors are soothing. I am looking for just the right frame and plan to hang it at the head of our bed so I can view it every time I enter the room. Thank you for sharing your work and your studio. You are an Arkansas treasure.
