Linda Rawlings

Photography represents an expression of the world we live in and of what we see and experience.  I seek to observe, feel, and capture the aesthetic beauty of each subject.  Using light, movement, and the elements of art and design to guide me, I look for each image to engage the viewer. My goal is to capture their attention, to make them look a little bit longer, to intrigue them, to awe them with the beauty of nature, and to show them a passing moment in time.

I am inspired everyday with all that surrounds me here in Mountain View near the White River. The dawn, the dusk, the golden hour on the Handford Bluffs and the majestic, mighty river, all make me reach for my camera to record those once in a life time images to share with others.  After 21 years of teaching art, 3-D design and photography, I have retired with my husband to enjoy the beauty and wonderful people we have made friends with, in this gem of a town.

I received a degree in Studio Art in NYC, as well as advanced photography certification. Silversmith and jewelry training from Texas Tech, plus advanced workshops. My work has been on exhibit in NYC, Houston, and California.  My studio by the White River is my latest gallery to feature my work.

Directions: Linda Rawlings’ Riverside Studio is approximately 10 miles (20 mins.) from the Court House Square. Go north on Hwy 5 to Herpel Road, and turn right onto Herpel.
