Chere Taylor - Wire Sculpture, Polymer Clay & Handmade Paper

Chere Taylor moved to Mountain View from Colorado in 2003. She enjoys the peacefulness of the area and the slower, friendly way of life here in the Ozarks. Her cabin studio sits up against the forest and sunshine falls where wild flowers and deer come to roam, making it an ideal setting for creativity. There are small workspaces designated for her three passions, which are wire sculpture, polymer clay and paper.

Her current wire and polymer clay work consists of pendants, beads, fan pulls, wind spinners, and sculptures. Inspired by nature and the planets, each piece is an original, having it's own unique design, style and character.

As a retired printer, Chere also has a passion for paper. Part of her studio is set aside, where she cuts intricate designs into paper with a xacto knife. Her paper cuttings are a delicate keepsake and lovely when the sun shines through the sandwiched glass frame.

If she isn't twisting wire or sculpting, Chere is making paper. She recycles junk mail to create beautiful greeting cards, art pieces and pulp paintings. To keep the art of papermaking alive, she holds workshops in her studio and demonstrations will be held during the tour. Stop in, enjoy a cup of coffee and watch her play.
